Kids Teaching Kids 2015

Are all soils capable of sustaining life?

What causes changes to soil?
What can we do to protect, improve and save our soil?
How do soils affect the lives of people?
Why is soil important now . . . .what about the future?

What actions can we take?

In line with the 2015 International Year of Soils, this year’s conference will explore a diverse range of soil topics.  A group of level 5 and 6 students, from Eltham North Primary School, will be sharing information about soil matters and school projects in a presentation, entitled: ‘The Dirt Designers Fashion Parade’. Students from Eltham North will be involved in MC, workshops, organizational and presentation activities. We are proud of their commitment to this event.

Fifteen schools will come together to participate in a popular annual event – the Kids Teaching Kids conference at Edendale. This will be the sixth year that ENPS, Nillumbik and Banyule councils have combined to host a KTK conference eventin the unique environmental setting at Edendale.  This conference provides valuable opportunities for students to lead, inspire, learn from each other and take ideas back to their schools.

We acknowledge the time taken by students and teachers to prepare for this event and appreciate the generous sponsorship from Target and KTK that enables schools, like ours, to not only participate but also inspire future leaders in events like the KTK kids conferences.
