On Thursday 10th September we had some very special visitors walk to ENPS on one of the walking school bus routes. Everyone was very excited to meet Stella, Nicole and Holly who are personal trainers from U & Nic Unique Personal Training. They had all of the prep classes up and about doing an aerobic session, talking about health, fitness and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. All the students were very enthusiastic to participate in the session and enjoyed it very much. They all received a booklet on healthy eating.

ARTROOM MURAL 2009:  It was time for a new, bright and happy facelift to the front of the art room. After a few weeks of planning, discussing and sketching local flora and fauna the students of years 5/6 put together their ideas to make a mural.

 

Mary Lou and Chris Pittard made the tiles out of clay that the students were to paint on to create their mural.
Over a 150 tiles were laid down and numbered and a sketch was drawn across all the tiles.

They were to be painted individually or in pairs then be put back together to make the big picture.

Our school is working with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to allocate a Victorian Student Number (VSN) to each student at the school. The VSN is a student identification number that is being assigned to all students in government and non-government schools, and students in Vocational Education and Training Institutions.

The number, which is unique to each student, will be used as a key identifier on a student’s school records, and will remain with the student throughout his or her education, until reaching the age of 25. The VSN is nine digits long, randomly assigned, and tied to stable information about the student (name, gender, date of birth).

This week we received schematic drawings for the development of a large two storey building which will be constructed in the area north of the staff room (ie below the 5/6 relocatable block). The school has been given $3million from the Federal Government to complete this project.  We have six diagrams available to highlight the floor plan for both the ground and first floor.
