Prep - 2 School Performance

Here is Anya's story about our Prep - 2 performance.  On 24 August we arrived at school. We unpacked our bags and we walked down to the adventure playground. We found the buses waiting for us. The bus drove to Yarra Valley Christian Centre that was the theatre. At the theatre we had a rehearsal. At the rehearsal we watched the prep - 2 songs. When it was our turn we smiled sang and waved our ribbons. At the end we performed the can can with our skirts. After that we caught the bus and drove to school. When we got there we did a Y chart about the rehearsal. After that we had lunch and we went outside to play. Then we went home and put our clothes on and we went back at dinner time. We arrived at the Yarra Valley Christian Centre at 6:15 pm for the performance. We ticked our name off and ran through the hall to the White hall where there were games to play. We played headbands and drew pictures. We took our shoes off before we performed our rainbow ribbon show. The girls wore sparkling skirts and the boys wore sparkling vests. We swirled and whirled with our ribbons. Then we ran back to the hall and we all put our sparkle vests on for 'this is it' and our hats. We performed on the big black stage. We sang out loud and smiled and danced. Then we ran back in the hall and took our costumes off. Then we put our colourful can can skirts on. We got in our lines and then we went to the stage. We performed the can can. We kicked our legs and I was puffed. Then we went off stage and undressed. Then all the prep - 2 children i all went on stage to take a bow. Then we went off stage and got our bags. After that we went home and went to bed. By Anya L Room 8 Year 1
