ENPS achieves GOLD Accreditation for the the Water – Learn it! Live it! Program

ENPS achieves GOLD Accreditation for the Water – Learn it! Live it! Program which is a comprehensive water education and accreditation program developed by Melbourne’s State Government owned water providers (City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and Melbourne Water).

The program helps schools actively implement water conservation and water education across the curriculum, with the aim of making a positive change in students’ and teachers’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviour towards water.  Correlated to the objectives of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, the Water – Learn it! Live it! program is easily integrated into the classroom. It enables schools to tailor and develop the program to engage students and the school community in water conservation and education. Congratulations to all our students and teachers.  To achieve GOLD status we had to develop water units of learning, host and present at seminars, maintain an effective water conservation program and keep our school community informed via web site and newsletters, students continue to learn about water saving measures through school based experiences as part of our commitment to saving WATER.

To achieve each milestone schools must complete each of the sections in the Water Learn it! Live it! program in the Bronze, Silver or Gold category.
