School Community Camp

What a great weekend we all had. The campsite was buzzing with activity when we arrived on Friday evening. There were children all over the place on bicycles and play equipment calling out to each other with excitement. On Saturday I think every facility of the campsite was used. Families fishing on the lake, playing tennis together, going for walks, golfing with their parents, swimming in a freezing cold pool and parents chatting away relaxing and enjoying the great weather. The bicycles and scooters where very well used all day.

A couple of Dads took their 4WD's to collect firewood for a BIG fire in the evening which went down really well. The children and parents enjoyed themselves around the campfire, where we had a BBQ and melted a few packets of Marshmallows. Most had a late check out on Sunday, leaving at about 12:00pm. Rumor has it that there are quite a few families that have booked again for next year leaving deposits. Thanks to everyone for giving me the opportunity to organise this event, it is a great credit to the wonderful community spirit we have at Eltham North Primary School that made this such a HUGE success. I feel very proud to be part of it. We would love to organise another camp for next year. It would be great if we could do it around the same time. Sarah Bullock (parent) .
