Sustainable Schools Program

At Eltham North Primary School we believe ‘Little changes can make a big difference'. Our sustainable journey continues with the whole school community involved in learning, developing lifelong sustainable practices and empowering students to become future leaders. These goals encompass all aspects of our planning, implementation and practices. They drive us to further reduce our Energy, Waste and Water requirements and increase the Biodiversity of our school environment. Our dedication to continuous improvement has led ENPS to develop infrastructure that caters for sustainability to be incorporated into all levels of our school’s operation. Environmental studies challenges and engages teachers and students to grow as passionate learners and leaders who are connected and motivated, demonstrating practical change to school operations and life long behavioural change in using resources more wisely. As a 5 Star Sustainable school we have experience from years of involvement in wonderful initiatives to utilise opportunities for our students to lead in their own school and inspire others in the wider community.
