How to enrol at Eltham North Primary

We understand the difficulty you face in selecting a primary school. We encourage you to consider enrolling your child at ENPS and we look forward to meeting you and your child at one of our tour sessions.
Prep tours in 2026 for 2027 enrolments are available on a Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon via this Trybookings link.

Enrolment applications will open for Prep 2027 on Monday 20th April 2026.

The Department of Education have released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Eltham North Primary School.
The timeline applies for all children starting Foundation (Prep). All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2026 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2027 school year.

What you need to do:
BOOK A TOUR - Contact our school on 9439 9639 to learn more about the enrolment application process. To book a school tour go to Trybooking
Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep)
Submit the relevant enrolment application form (Application Form for out-of-zone children) or
(Enrolment Form for in-zone children) by Friday 31st July 2026 with proof of birth and Immunisation Certificate.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 14th August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 28th August 2026.
Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026
Enrolment applications submitted after Friday 14th August 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

ENPS - Enrolment Restriction
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic).
Our school will prioritise enrolments from:
. students who live within the school zone
. students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
. students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
Depending on available places remaining, our school may be able to accept a limited number of out-of-zone enrolments according to next closest to the school.
The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary.

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au The site hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, this is determined based on your permanent residential address. We may seek proof of your address. Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy and in line with the Enrolment Restrictions placed on us (as above) to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school. The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.
