Hi all

News for this week.

The process to select our School Council Board is complete.  We have a team of 13 people.  I wish to congratulate the parents who join us for the first time: Cassie May, Jessica Thomas, Tane Nicholson and Nicole Ford.  The following parents have renewed for 2024: Kristina Chaston, Dani Phelan and Angela Bove. Existing Council parent members include Greg Mitchell, Liz O’Keeffe. Tandy Johnson renews as a DET member and Stephen Hayes and Cara Grant are existing DET members.  Together we plan to have a constructive year supporting ENPS.

Thank you teachers for organising the Parent Information Nights last week.  Valuable information was shared about how each level will operate.  Thank you to parents who were able to attend.  It is important that good communication about how the teachers are teaching the curriculum and ways they are supporting all students is explained thoroughly.  The partnership between parents and teachers is a key feature of our school culture and is highly valued.

The School Swim Carnival was a great success last Friday.  The support of parents and staff was tremendous.  The House colors were well represented and children proudly supported each other and their favourite team.  Thank you to Sarah Van Nieukerk for coordinating the event. It’s a massive task and a team will be formed to represent our school at the upcoming District Carnival on Friday 23 February.

^ Parent Student and Teacher Conferences are this Thursday afternoon and evening.  Please book online. See recent Compass news article.

^ Stay tuned for articles promoting our school 100thAnniversary. It’s a very exciting year for our community. If you happen to have a few moments, click on this link in our school web site to read about the history of our school.  It’s a great read:

Looking forward to some cooler weather mid week.  Monday and Tuesday have been hard for the children and staff.  We altered the timetable today due to heat and wind issues.

Lots of calendar dates have been added to the Office News articles (loaded Tuesdays).

Cheers David Foley
