School Annual Report 2022

Our 2022 Annual Report was approved by School Council last Thursday and this document will be unloaded during this week to our website. This document reflects on key aspects of school operations for the full year.

Marketing:

Prep Tours are underway. There is a new enrolment process for all schools. Those families who lie out of zone must provide an application for enrolment that is then considered by the Principal. The decision making process is held over a two week period in July. Those families who are in zone can apply and be immediately approved at any point.

Parents and Friends: PFA:

We had a successful walkathon last term where we raised over $6500 for school playground improvements. Easter raffles raised $2000. This was the first time that we did an ‘electronic style’ raffle and it worked. Lots of parent helpers and good weather. The Mother’s day stall was well organised by Rachel Orford and children were pleased to have a present for their mums. Feedback from parents has been positive and the wrapping of the gifts was well presented. PFA expanding with more membership which is great.

Our new School Council for 2023:

We have a vacancy on SC for a parent who has an accounting background to join our finance sub committee. If you feel you can assist then please phone David Foley as school.

School Council Board meeting: Last week the board met for our third meeting at school.Key discussions centred on workforce planning and student enrolment forecasting for the period 2023 – 2025 inclusive. It is important that school council are actively involved indecision making with a long term perspective. Exploring options and looking at priorities after our school review in 2022 has been valuable. We will continue to dig deep into how we can continue to improve school operation and improve and maintain school programs. Mid year will be an opportune time to share and gain feedback from our parents about future plans. I hope parents will actively engage and participate.

School Calendar of Events:

We will continue to publicise events early and the school web site calendar is updated continuously now and weekly newsletters have upcoming dates on the school website and Compass newsletter. In term two our third Curriculum Day for the year will be on Monday29 May. (week 6) and School Athletics day on Tuesday 30 May.

School Policies: If you wish to find and read the school policies , protocols and processes on specific topics then please access a full alphabetical list on our school web site. We continue to update these in line with direction from the Department of Education.
